Longyou Muchen Reservoir Project is a key provincial project independently invested by our company. Located on the right bank of upstream Qiantang River-Lingshan River tributary, it is in Muchen Township of Longyou County. The reservoir is about 150m away from the upstream of Muchen Township, and 30 km away from the Longyou County. The power plant site is 1.5km away from Xikou upstream.
Muchen Reservoir is working for flood control, water supply, irrigation, power generation and water environment improvement, etc. With a total investment of about RMB 461.24 million, the reservoir has a total capacity of 125.71 million cubic meters, power station installed capacity of 2*6,300 kW and an annual average generating capacity of 38.33 million kWh; the dam adopts concrete faced rockfill with a maximum height of 56.9m, crest width 6m, and length 444m; power plants are of water-introduction ground type with a construction area of 551 square meters, equipped with two 6,300-kilowatt turbine units. The project started in December 2006, impounded in April 2009 and started to generate power in August of the same year.
After the project is completed, it can protect downstream farmland, towns, counties and urban areas along the Mountain from flooding, having great significance to improve the Longyou County investment environment and promote local economic development.
